Dear 2002 Team & Team Alumni/ae,

Now that everyone (and everything) is back from Camden, we wanted to let everyone know how the team fared. As we've said many time, rowing at the NYAC is a team effort, and everyone who has helped us establish this tradiytion, as well as all who participated in all of those early and late practices this year, should be very proud of the team they helped put together for nationals.

This year we captured 10 National Championships, and medaled in 22 events. On top of these excelent individual efforts, we successfully defended our Overall Team Championship by winning the Combined Men's and Women's Point Trophy--on the strength of being second in both the Men's and Womens' points standing. This is the second year in a row we have been named "top club" and it shows just how strong BOTH the men's and women's squads have become.

There were also a lot of firsts: we won the women's intermediate 4 and 8, avenging our earlier losses to Vesper; we swept the lwt men's 8's; and narrowly missed sweeping all three women's single races.

Here are all the results--congratulations to everyone who rowed this summer; you've done a great job of keeping the AC's winning tradition strong.

John
