Please be sure to include the most recent 2000 m (or comparable) erg score from your training this year.

ROWING PROGRAM OVERVIEW

While the NYAC also sponsors a year-round training group, most athletes begin through the NYAC’s summer program: a competitive, high performance program designed to provide collegiate athletes with summer training, a chance to improve their technique, and an opportunity to race for medals and championships. These athletes often remain at the NYAC after graduation, pursuing full-time post-collegiate training with the NYAC’s year-round training group, which competes at the major fall head races and at National Selection Regattas in the spring.

The summer program runs from June to early August focusing on preparing athletes to win medals at the USRowing National Championship Regatta. Select athletes from within the program also have the chance to compete at the Canadian Henley Regatta and US National Team Trials

The 2007 program will begin with an informational/organization meeting on Monday June 4th at 6:30pm
--First on-water practice for women will be Tuesday, June 5th @ 5:30am
--First on-water practice for men will be Tuesday, June 5th @ 6:30pm
The last training session will take place approximately Friday, August 3rd.

These dates and times are subject to change.
